"I am a working software engineer with an master's degree and over 25 years in the industry. I have a BS and MS in engineering and have worked at roles from developer to CTO. What's most important though is I truly love coding and I hope when tutoring to share some of that enthusiasm!

I enjoy working with students from middle school to adult who are interested in learning how to code. Coding is a super power in today's world and it's fun for me to work with motivated students to help improve their skills. I often speak to high school and college classes on computer science and enjoy guiding young people as to the many career paths available.

I have mentored competition teams of high school students through the Air Force Associations cyberpatriot program. Some of my students have gone on to pursue degrees at universities, the Air force Academy, as well at technical colleges. Others I have worked with have pursued other fields but have found that coding can be a useful skill regardless of major.

I am primarily focused on Java, Python and SQL but also enjoy working with Lua and C. I feel confident that with a little motivation and effort almost anyone can learn the basics of coding." less...
