"A current MBA graduate student with Elizabethtown College, I am a 43-year-old, full-time employee looking to supplement my current college expenses. The father of a nine-year-old daughter, I enjoy assisting her with her daily homework and I hope to provide similar tutoring assistance to other students. I will provide basic reading, writing, spelling, grammar & arithmetic skills as well as more in-depth tutoring for those seeking help at the junior high or senior high school levels. I have most evenings after 3:30 pm available as I work full-time, 7:30 - 3:30.

Through my experience as both a student (college & graduate school) and as a father (tutoring my daughter), I believe in practice, practice and more practice to become better at any one subject. I believe in positive reinforcement techniques whereby the student is shown the proper procedure or technique, then the student is given a trial problem or a series of questions to answer, and then together, the solutions are discussed and problematic areas are readdressed after a thorough explanation.

I will not complete your child's homework for him or her, but I will assure the proper instruction and guidance is offered complete with a thorough check and examination of your child's finished product. While I cannot guarantee your child's success with school work, I will be concerned for their individual improvement and signs of new achievement.
