"Through my experiences as a tutor for 8+ years for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Algebra I realize each person takes in information differently whether it is hands-on, verbal, or written. My degree in Biomedical Sciences has set a strong foundation in science and math. I have the flexibility and knowledge to adapt to each student's way of learning. Building confidence is part of my foundational philosophy in teaching. It's important my students feel confident in their learning abilities; I believe this sets the framework for their confidence to approach anything challenging in life. I enjoy one on one tutoring being that I am capable of assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a student immediately. I use research-proven methods to teach my students how to learn in the most efficient way. As a continuous learner myself, I am always looking for ways to better my student's success. Knowing the subject is just a portion of taking exams, we will also cover how to navigate an exam to reduce common test anxiety. I would love to have the opportunity to offer a student the desire to learn because struggling with a subject, especially Chemistry, and Physics can be frustrating.
