Let’s be honest: most middle schoolers would rather be doing anything than test prep. But with the right approach, even reading comprehension and analogies become manageable. It’s a bit like training a cat to come when called, which is unlikely at first, but surprisingly effective with the right timing and tone. We start small. Build skills. Stack wins.

Students are welcome to bring a friend or classmate to learn together in a small-group setting (2 to 4 students at similar levels), or to work one-on-one for individualized focus. During live, timed sessions, they learn to read closely, decode vocabulary through context, identify thesis statements, and manage time wisely. These strategies become second nature through guided repetition and calm support.

As both a parent and a tutor, I understand how one child's struggle can affect the whole family. One parent put it best: "I simply can't make him listen to me, so I hope he listens to you." That is common, and exactly where I can help. Sometimes, all it takes is a neutral voice who is not related to the student and does not control the Wi-Fi password.
