"Hello, I am Berit! I currently work at the National Institutes of Health as a gene therapy translational research actively applying many of the skills and subjects I learned in college. I graduated from Saint Louis University with a degree in Medical Sciences and a minor in Health Care Ethics. I recently took the MCAT and received a score in the 94th percentile. After a successful application cycle (including 7 interviews, 3 acceptances, and 4 waitlists), my next stop is medical school!
I would love to help you achieve your medical school goals by providing mentorship, an insight into the complicated process, and editing of your application from someone who's been in your shoes! From brainstorming, creating a school list, writing primary application, supplemental essays, interview prep, and update letters, I'm here to help you! Every student has a story that's lead them to medicine and I want to make sure yours shows.
Additionally, throughout college I have worked as a General Chemistry Supplemental Instructor in which I led tri-weekly review sessions for a section of over 100+ college students. I have also worked as an individual tutor through my schools' Academic Support Department and provided one-on-one reviews and lessons. Having worked in these different environments and with hundreds of different students, I've learned how to adapt material to many different learning styles. Whether through practice problems, test reviews, or re-reading lectures, my goal is to help students truly understand the subject so that they can draw connections for themselves and achieve those "aha-moments" that we all love." less...
