"I’m Robert. I graduated from Corban University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Student and Family Development and a Minor in Biblical Studies. Over the next 10 years, I worked in churches where I taught religion, ethics, theology, and cultural literacy. But I felt like I wanted to be more focused on the teaching side of things, so I went to Grand Canyon University Online where I got a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on Social Studies. Now, I am currently working as a social studies teacher for two schools housed in the same building where one is an online school and the other offers a pathway to help students to graduate that are struggling or would otherwise fail and drop out of school.

Over the years I have worked with students ranging from 11 to college age in various settings. My experience involved teaching large groups of up to 500, small groups of 10-12, and one-on-one teachings and anything in between. And while I enjoy standing in front of a group and teaching on a topic I’m passionate about, my favorite thing and my goal is to see the lights turn on as a student truly understands something. I love having students come to me with questions that we get to figure out the answers together.
