"Hi, I’m Kesha! A licensed social worker with extensive experience helping students prep for the LMSW and LCSW (ASWB) exams. I work with students who are serious about passing and who want more than basic tutoring or answer review.
My approach is structured, assessment-driven, and highly individualized. Many of the students I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or discouraged. Often discouraged after multiple exam attempts, long gaps since school, or ongoing test anxiety. Together, we focus on understanding how the exam thinks, not just memorizing content.
In our sessions, I often begin by identifying strengths and weak areas so we can use our time efficiently. I help students break down ASWB-style questions step by step, especially “first,” “next,” and “best” type questions that tend to cause the most difficulty. Sessions may include content refreshers across exam domains, exam-logic strategies, memory tools, visual aids, and targeted practice questions. I also support pacing, confidence, and test-day readiness.
My sessions tend to feel like a blend of coaching, teaching, and strategy. I take an active role in guiding sessions and providing structure, which many students find especially helpful if they struggle with anxiety, processing the questions, or knowing where to focus their studying. I’m warm and encouraging, but also honest and direct when needed.
Professionally, I bring a strong background in clinical work, regulatory compliance, and supervision, along with my LMSW license and Advanced CASAC credential. Students often share that working with me helps them feel more organized, less overwhelmed, and more confident in their ability to approach the exam thoughtfully and consistently.
If you’re looking for structured, focused support and a tutor who will meet you where you are while helping you move forward with clarity and confidence, I’d be happy to work with you." less...
