"Hello! I'm Tyler. I graduated in 2016 with a B.S. Computer Science degree, and currently working as a Senior Software Engineer in Test. I find that I'm having the most fun at my job when I'm helping others figure out problems, and would I love to bring that approach here. I believe that the best way to help people learn is to have them explain their thought process as they complete each step, especially if they're unsure. I'll work to guide them from there with pinpoint questions from my best understanding of their context. I will constantly assess myself, based on their visual or verbal feedback, that I'm understanding their struggles correctly.

I don't have much of a background in teaching, but I've lead teams at work of all professional ages and abilities. I find that patience, detachment of ego, and empathy are incredibly important when helping someone out with a problem. I understand how it feels to think that you're just never going to get it with some math and computer science topics.
