"I am a computer engineer who has always had a passion for teaching. I am an energetic and adaptable teacher with academic and real-world expertise in Discrete Math, Python, and C++, among other things. I am especially skilled at personalizing my lessons to my student's needs and breaking down complicated technical topics so they can be fully understood.
I graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a degree in computer engineering. In college, I was a teaching assistant and then later a tutor for both math and computer science classes such as Discrete Structures, Embedded Design, Computer Systems, and Object Oriented Design. I always have enjoyed figuring out which way of explaining a technical topic will let my student fully understand the topic. I am skilled at viewing problems through my student's perspective and then finding a way to explain that they will understand.
Outside of teaching, I have 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Both teaching and engineering provide me with the problem-solving that I enjoy in my work. I worked at Draper Laboratories, an MIT-spinoff, building python web-scrapers among other things. Later, I worked at Starry, a next-generation wifi startup, writing embedded C++ on a custom Linux router. Most recently, I worked at Modular Robotics, an agricultural robotics company, where I was focused on improving the computer vision system for a field robot using C++ and python alongside machine learning packages such as opencv and pytorch.
I am looking forward to meeting you! I am excited to personalize lessons to fit your needs and I think you will learn a lot with me." less...
