As a current Lone Star College adjunct math professor, a certified math teacher with 20+ years of teaching experience (in-class and online), 15+ years of tutoring experience (in-person and online), and a former Cy-Fair ISD high school math teacher, I believe that any student can learn and understand math. Those problems that appear complicated are just a series of simple concepts woven together. I deconstruct the problems with my students so they can understand each simple concept within the problem.

Typically, if math is complicated, it's because the method of instruction is complicated. I teach in a simplistic and "easy to understand" style that allows to students to understand the "why" behind the "do" thus enabling them to retain the information, instead of memorizing tricks and gimmicks which lack concrete mathematical principle causing students to lose or never gain that solid mathematical foundation necessary for later learning.
