"As a certified Spanish and TESOL/TEFL educator with 11 years of high school teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students succeed in language learning. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction and a graduate certificate in Teaching English Speakers from the American College of Education. I have also earned additional TESOL certification hours through the internationally accredited LinguaEdge platform and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education from Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio.

My journey as an educator was inspired by my time living in Central America (Costa Rica and Nicaragua), where I built meaningful relationships that deepened my love for language and culture. I bring this passion into the classroom, creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment where students take an active role in their education.

I believe education is a partnership; I encourage students to design many of their own learning tasks and assessments, fostering independence and a genuine desire to learn. While I am a skilled linguist, I also see myself as a lifelong learner—each student brings something unique to the table, and I strive to learn from them as much as they learn from me.
