"After I graduated high school, I served a service mission for my church in Peru for 2 years, where I was able to become truly fluent in Spanish and tutor many people there in English. I have a solid understanding of Spanish grammar concepts and how to explain them in a way that makes sense to an English-speaker, as I found myself doing this for the other native English-speakers serving with me and the native Spanish-speakers who wanted to learn English with us. The best part of my experience was the connection that I was able to form with people from different walks of life and help them achieve academic, career, and hobby goals.

I took 5 years of Spanish through middle and high school, including AP Spanish, and am currently working on a Minor in Spanish in college. I have tutored college students of all levels through the college's official tutoring program. I love speaking the language and still keep in touch with many of the friends that I made in Peru! I am familiar with Spanish coursework for middle--through-college students and can help them master the concepts they are receiving in school and determine their most effective study methods.
