"I am a native Spanish speaker from Bolivia, South America. I have been teaching Spanish for more than six years here in Savannah, Georgia. I have taken several courses to enhance my educational and professional knowledge towards improving my teaching abilities and techniques in Spanish as a Second Language (ELE) at the Hemingway Institute in Bilbao. This institute is very prestigious, and it has the most successful methodology for teaching Spanish as a Second Language in Spain. It is part of a network of the Institute Cervantes, which is a cultural program dedicated to the advancement of teaching the Spanish language.

Currently, I am preparing myself for the next level of teaching Spanish students in preparation for their needs in the business, medical and legal fields and I am certificated on line Tutor by ELE International with 50 hours training.

I have education, experience and background as a journalist, life coach and facilitator, which would be advantageous. This knowledge and experience empowers me to be a motivated, passionate and encouraging Spanish teacher.

I specialize in tutoring. I have extensive experience in teaching teenagers and adults at all levels: beginners, intermediate- or advanced-level, depending on need. I will also set up specific exam preparation classes. I cater my curriculum closely to the individual student’s needs, so feedback, verbal communication, written assessment, and testing help to determine the best curriculum for that particular student. I teach with a new teaching methodology called, “Communicative”, and I design personized instruction for the different needs. I use fun and interesting curriculum development and creative teaching strategies to encourage a student's understanding for content and real life application.

I put an emphasis on conversation because this tends to be the most challenging for students to use and understand. By doing this I see more development and improvement of students’ skills.
