"Ten years after completing my undergraduate degree, I still have a fascination with learning new things, and I hope to share my passion for learning with each one of my students. Having spent twenty years of my life working diligently to progress from having a beginner's knowledge of Spanish to being completely fluent, I have an excellent understanding of the work that it takes to master a foreign language. I believe that learning a second language has the power to open a world of possibilities to every individual, and I aim to help open these possibilities to students who are learning Spanish.
While Spanish is my greatest passion, I am also an expert in all areas of world history and I have two years of experience teaching all subjects at a middle school level. I have been successful in driving improved academic performance in English, social studies, math, and earth science. After leaving the classroom, I worked for an education technology nonprofit (Reach the World) for 7 years, consulting directly with NYC Dept. of Ed principals and teachers on their curriculum and teaching resources. While I have primarily worked with middle school students, I have enjoyed working with learners of all ages and ability levels. Presently, I am working as a marketing professional in the renewable energy industry, but I still have a strong desire to educate!
