"I'm Rachel! I am a junior at Auburn University majoring in law and justice with a minor in Business. I graduated from high school with honors and have spent the majority of my life volunteering with and tutoring children under the age of 18 and children with special needs. I have been serving as the president of Auburn's Alpha Phi Omega chapter for a year now, an organization focused on community service. Through them, I have volunteered with a program for special needs young adults, named "Braveheart." I maintain a 3.8 GPA in my studies at Auburn and spend my free time volunteering with youth and underprivileged communities. Because of these experiences, I am confident in my ability to prepare children and teens to excel in their efforts, both in school and in extracurricular endeavors.
I am able to offer lessons in any subject K-8 and have experience working with young children. Special needs children are also a focus of mine and I am confident in my ability to highlight their strengths and find paths for success and progress in their academics; I am also familiar with IEPs and other accommodations children might need. Outside of tutoring for younger children, I can offer teens lessons in English, Literature, Linguistics, and college prep. I have helped many students prepare for college entrance applications, essays, and tests. If you or your child is interested in pursuing the field of Law, I am very experienced and can help introduce the topics and general knowledge needed to excel in this endeavor - it is a great way to set a student apart from the crowd when pursuing law.
I focus on identifying strengths in students and provide individualized lesson plans to help them reach their full potential. I believe fostering confidence and encouraging communication is vital to student's success, both in school and beyond" less...
