My specialty is teaching people how to use SPSS and run statistical analyses on datasets. If you're having trouble with Research Methods or Stats for Psychology/ Social Sciences, then I can help!

My two passions in life are learning and teaching. To me, there is nothing better than seeing a person's face light up as they suddenly understand a concept that once seemed impossible.

People learn at different rates and process information differently. My goal is to discover a student's unique needs and to present the material in an informative and engaging way. I explain the theory behind key concepts and use examples to help students visualize or work out problems. Rather than just blindly running a statistics test in SPSS, I help people understand the method behind the madness!

My background:

I graduated cum laude from Arizona State University, where I tripled majored in Biology (pre-med), Psychology, and Anthropology (human origins). My love for science and learning took me to Europe where I earned a Ph.D. in Psychology. Afterward, I held a Postdoc and Lecturer position at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In addition, I earned a certificate and diploma in graphic design, and have worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. I'm proficient in Adobe CC Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

As a Psychology Lecturer & Researcher, conducting stats is a fundamental part of my job. I've mentored undergraduate students and have helped them with data analysis/ statistics (e.g., z-scores, t-tests, correlation, ANOVA, Simple Linear Regression, Multiple Regression). I regularly use SPSS and JASP for statistical analysis.

My favorite subjects in school were Math and Science. I have taken math courses through calculus, and have taken a number of science courses while earning my degrees, including Biology, Physics, Anatomy, and Physical Anthropology.
