"Hi! I'm James, a rising Stanford University Undergrad student majoring in maths. I was a TA for AP Calculus AB and BC in my junior year, and I helped almost every student pass the AP Exam. I've tutored at Mathnasium for over a year, where I helped students K-12 on homework and mathematical fluency. I also have experience tutoring privately with AP Calculus AB and BC.

I specialize in teaching Calculus and other math, and I've scored a 5 on the AP Statistics, Calculus AB/BC, and AP Physics 1, 2, C Mechanics and E&M.

-6x AIME qualifier, top score 9/15

I like teaching because I enjoy seeing the moments of realization and understanding from my students. My goals are to improve my students' understanding of the subject, and also encourage them to enjoy the subject more.

My preferred method of teaching is asking for questions, identifying misconceptions or gaps in knowledge, and building concepts from fundamentals. I also like to create practice problems to sharpen skills.
