"I have several years of experience tutoring students from kindergarten through college in math, science, English, and test preparation. My teaching journey began as a Teaching Fellow with Teach for America’s Ignite Fellowship, where I worked one-on-one and in small groups to help students strengthen their foundational math and reading skills. I later served as an academic tutor for student-athletes at Arizona State University, supporting them in STEM and business courses while helping them balance demanding schedules and academic expectations. In addition, I’ve tutored K–12 students through Varsity Tutors and Tutoring Club – Gilbert, where I developed personalized learning plans and helped students prepare for standardized exams such as the MCAT, LSAT, ACT, SAT, and GED.
I hold a strong background in the sciences and math and currently work as a Clinical Informatics Specialist at Oak Street Health, where I use data-driven approaches to improve patient care and outcomes as I prepare for medical school. My education and professional experience allow me to connect academic concepts to real-world applications, which helps students see the value in what they’re learning. I’ve also worked in research labs focused on public health and infectious diseases and in engineering internships, which strengthened my understanding of chemistry and math, subjects I now teach with a focus on both comprehension and curiosity.
My tutoring style is patient, organized, and adaptive. I believe in breaking complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and building confidence through consistent progress. Whether a student needs long-term academic support or targeted test prep, I tailor every lesson to their goals and learning style. I take pride in seeing students grow not just in their grades, but in their ability to think critically and approach problems with confidence." less...
