"I am a current geophysics PhD student with a bachelor's degree in geology and applied math. I have been tutoring for nearly 10 years. I started with private tutoring and eventually became a tutor at the academic institutions I attended. It was through college tutoring that I earned my CRLA level 2 tutor certification. This means I was trained by mentors in effective tutoring methods. I tutor all ages and educational goals. I frequently tutor all K-6th subjects, college courses, GED prep, nursing exams prep, etc. In the past couple years I have also been doing work as a teaching assistant in graduate school, so I continue to develop more teaching and tutoring skills through both formal training and experience.

Self empowerment through education is a major part of my life philosophy. I want to instill a different view of educational success in my students and show them that academic achievements and failures don't make a person, but the exercises in critical thinking that come from education can be powerful enough to set people along the path in life they desire.
