"Hello! I’m Dr. Jay. I’m a chemical and environmental engineer with a strong background in stem education and a genuine love for teaching. I’ve spent years helping students understand challenging material in a way that feels clear, supportive, and even enjoyable.

I’ve taught or assisted in eight college-level stem courses—everything from math and physics to biology, programming, and ethics—and I’ve led a writing-intensive senior engineering lab as the instructor of record. These experiences taught me how to explain complex ideas in a way that makes sense to each student, no matter their background or confidence level.
