I received my BS with honors in biomedical engineering from a top-10 program. I worked as a TA for upper-level engineering courses. As a result, I feel that I am very capable in breaking down difficult topics into more digestible information.

Due to my engineering background, I believe in understanding vs pure memorization. In relation to USMLE, this means going into the underlying pathophysiology behind the question instead of memorization, allowing for widespread application when taking the real exam. For instance, instead of telling you to memorize that a certain disease is associated w/ x, y, and z conditions, I will also go into detail about those. I talk about differentials when seeing a type of patient presentation and ways to differentiate between common differentials based on clues. Lastly, I am also a strong believer in active learning. I love talking about medicine and thus, love to constantly ask associated questions when teaching to ensure true understanding.

For STEP2, I have helped students see scores increase of 30+ from the initial CCSE.
