I’m Jake, a 4th-year medical student at a top 10 medical school with a strong focus on helping students succeed on the MCAT, Step 1, and Step 2 through personalized, efficient strategies that actually work.

Before med school, I logged hundreds of tutoring hours in chemistry, physics, biology, and MCAT prep (I scored in the 100th percentile). I hold a B.S. in Psychology. In medical school, I passed Step 1 without a dedicated study period and recently scored above a 265 on Step 2.

My tutoring philosophy is that your time and energy should be spent on things that move the needle. I emphasize test-taking strategies, study planning, and identifying the most impactful changes for each individual student. Sessions are focused, flexible, and built around what you can’t get from videos or passive content.

Most importantly: I don’t expect you to commit to a fixed schedule, long-term plan, or tutoring style that doesn’t fit you. If you find that my approach isn’t working for you—or you simply want to take a break—you’re always welcome to pause or stop. I want students to feel empowered and supported, not locked in.
