I’ve been tutoring for nearly a decade, starting in middle school through a volunteer program where I helped elementary students with homework and essay writing in a classroom setting. In high school, I provided one-on-one tutoring to fellow students as part of the National Honor Society.

In college, I continued pursuing my passion for teaching and became a Writing Center tutor in my third year. There, I worked closely with both traditional and nontraditional students on class essays, scholarship applications, and a variety of written assignments. I graduated "Magna Cum Laude" in 2024 with a degree in English and a minor in African American Studies.

Currently, I’m in graduate school working toward a Ph.D. in English and African American Studies, with the goal of becoming a college professor. Over the past year, I’ve also had the opportunity to teach an “Introduction to College Writing” course to undergraduate students.
