"I am a student-centered educator who believes that students are people first. I have three years of college-level teaching experience at Arizona State University. I have taught, among other courses, undergraduate Justice Theory and undergraduate Research Methods. These classes were writing-intensive, and as such, my strongest subject area, in which to tutor, is writing.

I have my PhD in Justice Studies from Arizona State University, and my master’s degree in Political Science from San Francisco State University. When I am interacting with students, I believe in getting to know them holistically, as people first and students second. The most rewarding of my time as a teacher has been watching my students’ confidence grow as I have empowered them to direct their own learning. I believe the most important thing that I can do as an educator is to meet my students where they are.
