"I’m a student tutor currently majoring in English Literature at Scripps College, which is apart of the Claremont Colleges consortium (Scripps, Pomona, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer).

I’m on the Dean’s List with a 4.0 GPA and also in the process of transferring to a University of California college through the UCLA Transfers Honor Program (TAP) for English.

I currently work on campus as a tutor in the writing center, I have also taught the privately as a student tutor on the AP English Language & Composition Exam curriculum back in high school. I’ve previously helped my students better review for the AP exam, essay writing section, and proofreading their work. I scored a 5 on the AP English Literature & Composition exam, and my own personal college application essays were accepted by several top schools including UCLA, UCSD, UC Berkeley, and Scripps.

My tutoring goals have always been to help my students build a strong foundation in reading and writing so they can approach English with confidence and success. For me the students needs come first! Whether that be an hour of going over classwork, comprehending a complex passage, improving how you write your essays, or just simple proofreading—all of these are valid.
