"Hello, I'm Manuela!! I recently graduated from high school as Valedictorian and am starting my undergraduate studies in Biology. Being a student myself, I am extremely suited to help students in the K-12 learning environment get the boost they need outside the traditional structure with different learning tools suited to them. More specifically, I am specializing in Math and Science, subjects in which I excelled during my school career, taking classes like AP Biology and Calculus. Additionally, through a tutoring program at my school, I was able to directly help my peers in classes I had taken or was taking, giving me two years' worth of valuable experience with high school students. Meanwhile, I spent several hours volunteering at an elementary school demonstrating scientific fundamentals and skills.

Normally, when helping people learn, I like to start with the foundation to see if we are missing anything in the understanding of the content or in how we approach a subject. From there, I like to talk through what has worked in the past with older students or ask questions about the subject for younger students. This way, I can understand where the missing steps are for that lesson, regardless of age or subject. After that, I believe tutoring must be very student-based instead of tutor-based; in other words, adapt to my students' needs instead of staying in my comfort zone.

Lastly, due to my age, I think I am in the perfect position to help school-aged students feel more comfortable and get help from someone who grew up in a similar education system. I am always open to talking to you about yours or your child's needs, and we can go from there.
