"I have a B.A. Degree in American Studies from Brigham Young University. American Studies was a wonderful major as I was able to study History, Political Science, Humanities and Government - all with an American "theme". I also have a J.D. Degree from Arizona State University. I practiced law for 13 years in various areas, including criminal and commercial litigation as well as Sports Law. I have worked for a major US Airline and owned a large successful Salon in Chandler. Most recently, I was a driving force behind the creation of a Cosmetics Company that has done over a million dollars in sales in its' first 4 years.

My very diverse and varied background will really help your student understand that life has so many opportunities available. Education and true "understanding" are key. Because of my various endeavors, I have seen many methods of training and education, and I understand which methods are most successful. I also understand that many people do not thrive in traditional educational settings. Just because traditional education methods may be difficult for some to absorb, absolutely does not mean that those individuals will be unable to "understand" the subject matter and more importantly, be successful.

I am a firm believer in utilizing many different learning mechanisms including oral and visual. Thinking and understanding are so different than just reading something.

My degree in American Studies enabled me to study History, Political Studies, and Humanities - all with an American Feel. My Law Degree, and 13 year career in various areas of the law have given me expertise in Criminal Justice and Government.
