"Dear Potential Students,

During my college education, I had the opportunity to become part of AmeriCorps Corporation for National and Community Service Tutoring and Mentoring Program. Through tutoring and mentoring from elementary through college level, I developed a passion for the development of students. I have tutored in Mathematics and Florida Virtual School to help reinforce the lessons being taught in the classroom.

I decided on a career change almost 11 years ago as a leader in hospitality to pursue my passion for teaching in the area of mathematics. I currently hold a Professional Educator's Certification in Mathematics Grades 6-12 from the State of Florida Department of Education.

As we all know, there is not a lot of time to study. I do understand that teachers typically focus on conveying a tremendous amount of information to their students. For the majority of students it is not very effective. This is where I come in as your tutor. My tutoring approach is not to just show off what I know and what problems I can help to solve. My tutoring approach is to be your one-on-one coach and to think of as many ways as possible to help you to think and work to solve problems efficiently. I will help you understand not just how to memorize and solve the problem but gain the concepts.
