"I've been teaching for more than 25 years as a certificated teacher in the public school system. I am good at what I do and have received many awards and recognitions for being an outstanding and caring teacher. Math has always been my specialty and I also teach English Language Arts (phonics, fluency, reading comprehension, and writing) with excellence. I am well versed in teaching Elementary Math Concepts and Skills, PreAlgebra, and Algebra I. I have tutored many students privately and in after school programs to help them achieved that "Aha Moment".

I specialize in tutoring math for success in school, state testing, District Benchmarks, assessment, and the new Common Core State Standards. I work on building solid conceptual understanding of all math content standards. Also, it is important to develop procedural skills and fluency within algorithms and relate mathematics to real-life problems solving situations.

I am flexible with time and will work in the early mornings on Saturday, and Sunday. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and I will offer makeup classes. I will meet at your home, the library, or at my home.
