"Hi! I’m Phoebe, a bilingual tutor passionate about helping students achieve their academic and language goals. I am a native Chinese speaker with strong English proficiency, and I recently earned a TOEFL score of 103 (Reading 25, Listening 27, Speaking 27, Writing 24). My background allows me to guide students in mastering Chinese and in developing the study skills and test-taking strategies needed to succeed in school and on standardized exams.

I have experience tutoring classmates and younger students in Chinese, study skills, and English test preparation. In my sessions, I create clear lesson plans tailored to each student’s level and goals. For Chinese, I focus on building speaking confidence, pronunciation accuracy, and practical reading and writing skills. For study skills, I help students organize their time, take effective notes, and improve memory retention and test performance. For TOEFL prep, I teach strategies to boost scores in all four sections, drawing on my own recent test experience.
