"Hi, I'm Sarah—a guide and partner for storytellers who crave emotional depth and seek to understand the intricacies of writing, including grammar and spelling. Since teaching myself to read at age four, writing has been my passion. Between short stories, novels, movies and TV shows, I've never stopped turning blank pages to breakthroughs. The best part is helping others gain confidence, through writing, in skills that span far beyond paper: language, articulation of ideas, and verbal communication.
While I do not have any professional tutoring experience, I have edited my peers' work, including providing feedback on college essays and freewriting. Most often, I work with students between grades 5-12. I have published independently as well, including journals and coloring books, and made over 100 sales in 2023. I have never scored below 97% on a college essay between a completed Associate in Arts degree and an in-progress Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
When providing feedback and diving deep into the grammatical nuances of English, I typically work one-on-one and bring pre-organized aids as needed, including visual tools, charts, tables, and whatever else someone may need to learn according to their preferred style. I am happy to address any questions and concerns, share personal experience, and suggest writing and thinking prompts and exercises for additional learning. If there is ever anything I do not know, I will do research, consult experts, and get back to you as soon as possible with detailed answers.
My background in editing and encouraging the works of others has given me a love for helping others in their own creative journeys. And my experience writing in numerous different tones and formats sets me up to adapt to your style and tailor my guidance to just what you need, from grammatical foundations to an A+ essay." less...
