"I'm an educator with 10+ years teaching at schools like Feldston and GDS (D.C.) I earned my MSEd from Bank Street College of Education, renowned for progressive education and understanding how ALL students learn. I'm also a NY Emmy-nominated documentary producer/research lead. I've reimagined traditional curricula, developing college-level History courses and creating youth programs where teens explore identity and develop their voices. I've also guided dozens through competitive high school & college admissions and authored just as many recommendation letters. I'm a learner-centered educator, not a "lecture and memorize" teacher. I start by getting to know each student's strengths, challenges, and interests. Many struggle not just with content, but with organizational skills: time management, note-taking, study habits, and more. I work on executive functioning skills alongside content because I've seen how much confidence students gain with practical systems. I've worked with all types of learners: students with ADHD, test anxiety, learning differences, visual or hands-on learners who struggle with textbooks, and those who need someone to make material less overwhelming. I use a variety of resources (I'm good at research!). Whatever helps concepts click. I create a trusting, collaborative environment that centers the student.
