"Motivating students at the high school level is everything. If a teacher or something else has soured a student on a subject, restoring their interest in the material is crucial. My specialty is helping a student fall in love with the subject anew and seeing their motivation increase. Then their grade naturally goes up. With 35 years of teaching experience, I specialize in relating to students and making complicated subjects easier to grasp and much more fun.

As I help students to learn Spanish or U.S. History, I make sessions interesting, fun, and natural to help them engage with the material. I’ve lost count of the number of times that former students or parents have stopped me in the grocery store and thanked me for helping to turn them. I have taught Spanish I, II, III, IV, and V as well as U.S. History for many years. My teacher rating has been highly effective, the top score in our school district, for decades.
