"I am working towards a thesis-based Masters of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. I received a bachelors degree in the same subject and from the same institution. I am employed as a teaching assistant for a 2nd level control theory class, a subject that is heavy in differential equations and calculus, and requires a strong foundation of lower level math.

I instruct in a laboratory setting, and give one-on-one help to students in office hours, where they come to ask me questions. I believe that teaching math in a formulaic manner is ill-advised and detrimental to students' learning. By teaching students the fundamentals of math, I can equip them with not only the skills to solve classroom problems, but the confidence and intuition to continue expanding their knowledge. This approach not only results in greater enjoyment and understanding, but scholastic improvement as well.

As a teaching assistant, I instruct college sophomores-juniors. In addition, I have experience working with high-school age kids from working as a robotics team mentor for a local high school, and have dealt with younger ages as a camp counselor.
