"I have been a teacher for eight years. My bachelor’s is in Elementary Education from Flagler College in my home state of Florida. While earning my degree I did many practicum placements in multiple grade levels with students from varying skill sets. This prepared me to earn my certification in elementary education with endorsements in reading and English as a second language. I went on to earn my master’s degree in education leadership with the goal of one day becoming an assistant principal.
Following my degree, I got my first teaching job at the school that I have built my career at. My first five years were spent in the general education setting teaching all subjects to fourth grade students. I then made the switch to teaching students with disabilities. Thorough my whole teaching career, I have tutored students. Most of the students that I tutor are between one and two grade levels behind where they need to be.
