"During my undergraduate time, I spent 2 years doing TA work, one in which I held office hours. These office hours were for any math students, so I quickly became adept at answering questions about almost any math-related problem, be it a problem with an integral for a calculus student, or a misunderstanding about trigonometry, or more advanced proof-based math courses like Analysis. I try to guide students to understanding the material by trying to ground problems in real life situations: you can see whether an answer makes sense based on some sort of intuition, rather than just going through the algorithm and hoping you don't mess up. I'm a big fan of unit analysis, where the in the problem, be they meters or seconds, need to be correct for a problem to make physical sense, and you can often catch errors by checking your units, such as squaring a number where it shouldn't be squared or dividing by something instead of multiplying.
