"Hi! My name is Katie, and I’m an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in Finance and Biology. I have a strong academic foundation in math, science, and economics, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and succeed in these subjects.

In high school, I earned 5s on AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC (with a 5 on the AB subscore), AP Statistics, AP Biology, and AP Microeconomics. I also scored a 1550 on the SAT, with a 760 in Reading and Writing and a 790 in Math. At WashU, I’ve taken a range of rigorous courses including Calculus II and III, General Chemistry with Lab, Introduction to Computer Science (Java), Elementary to Intermediate Statistics, Accounting, Microeconomics, Managerial Statistics, and Introduction to Psychology.

I have experience tutoring students from elementary through high school in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. My tutoring style is flexible and student-centered—I work to understand each student’s learning style, explain concepts in ways that make sense to them, and use regular practice and review to reinforce understanding.
