"Hi, I'm Luca! I graduated from High School with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and a 4.9 weighted GPA at the top of my class. I was a 2-time captain and all-star for my Varsity Soccer team, and I was also a part of my high school's Varsity Track teams. For my academic success, I was awarded the Superintendent's Certificate of Academic Excellence and the Harvard Book Award. I am currently a freshman in mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. I am on the Dean's List and have been able to maintain my 4.0 GPA through my first year of college.

I understand the struggle of balancing a social life, sports, and academics in high school and I will do my best to help make students' workloads more manageable. This stems from first gaining confidence in the student's ability to perform well in the class. This then makes the workload and exams seem much less daunting. Ultimately, this will allow students to stop worrying about their grades in the class, and instead focus on taking an interest in the material.

I have tutored in many different settings and subjects. Most recently, as part of Carnegie Mellon's Rocket Command, I help teach middle school and high school students the fundamentals of rocketry. In high school, I often provided help for fellow high school students and tutored middle school students as well. I mainly focus on science and math classes, but I'd be happy to help in language based classes including ELA and Spanish classes.
