"I specialize in ALL levels of French language tutoring and instruction: from high school to college. I have taught both college and high school-level French classes, from beginning to most advanced, having taught French for over fifteen years in the U.S., France, and Asia. My Ph.D. is in French, and I am currently a French professor in Fort Worth. I have taught French at the University of Michigan and Davidson College. I also taught the AP French Language and Culture curriculum for several high schools in Michigan, and all my AP students received college credit. I am very familiar with the ins-and-outs of the AP French exam, and my personalized coaching methods to tackle the AP test have helped students score well on the exam.

My tutoring has also extended in teaching students with disabilities, and all my students have exhibited leaps in improvement even after the first lesson. What makes me different from most French tutors is that I am extremely familiar with nearly all French textbooks on the market, along with university/high school French curricula and testing. I also design French tests, which allows me to "know" what French teachers are looking for in their students when it comes time for tests, quizzes, etc.

As a French professor, I have taught high school French teachers, designed tests and college French placement exams, evaluated French textbooks, taught all levels of French classes at multiple universities with differing student demographics. In short, I can immediately pinpoint student weaknesses in French in a 5 minute diagnostic and use that as a starting point to gear students toward success and, most importantly, to help students get better grades in French!
