"Hey there, I'm Erik! I graduated summa cum laude from Dickinson College in 2022, having majored in International Studies and minored in Arabic. I also worked as a writing tutor in the college's writing center for most of my time there, which included a semester-long credit-bearing course that served as training for writing tutors after we were accepted for the position.

My favorite part of tutoring is meeting people and learning about what they care about, then being able to help them on that journey! With Wyzant, I hope to be able to expand beyond my previous tutoring subject areas, since much of my training involved transferrable techniques for helping you learn (as opposed to just telling you what to do) and making a tutoring session comfortable and enjoyable. I have always been strong across academic disciplines, and miss working on some subjects (especially within mathematics) that I wasn't able to take classes on in college, so I will bring enthusiasm and a fresh perspective along with my experience and expertise for our time together!

After winning a National Merit Scholarship in high school, I studied abroad in India before beginning higher education, then again in Jordan in Fall of 2021, so I'm very familiar with the struggle of feeling overwhelmed despite great effort to understand.
