"I am a current Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) student at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, with a strong academic foundation in biology, chemistry, and the medical sciences. I earned my Bachelor of Science magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, where I majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Chinese. My education and clinical training have reinforced my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and in a way that is approachable for learners at all different levels.
I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience across classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings. I have served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in human physiology and chemistry laboratories, where I guided college students through challenging material and hands-on problem solving. In addition, I have worked as a tutor for a high schooler and college students in math and science, helping them strengthen foundational skills, improve academic performance, and build confidence in subjects they previously found intimidating. My high school tutee came to me averaging a D grade in math, and in a couple of months of weekly sessions, she is now a high-B, low-A student.
These experiences shaped my teaching approach, which emphasizes patience, adaptability, and meeting students where they are. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps, encouraging critical thinking, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process." less...
