"Hello! My name is Aja, but I prefer to go by "Gem." I enjoy tutoring students in Math, English, Spanish, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. I graduated from Vicksburg High School in Mississippi, where I enrolled in AP/Honors courses and was an active member of the Boys and Girls Club, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. I received the President's Award for being in the top ten and the Gator Award for community service.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Math from The University of Mississippi as a Luckyday Academic Excellence Scholar. During my freshman year, my poem "Beautiful Eyes" was published in the Venture Online Volume 6 Freshman Writing Magazine. As a Luckyday Scholar, I tutored my peers in College Algebra, Calculus 1-4, General Chemistry, and English. I later completed my Master of Architecture degree with honors at Arizona State University.

Throughout my academic journey, I have helped students overcome challenges and develop a love for learning. I also enjoyed proofreading papers and providing feedback to my classmates, helping them improve their work before deadlines.

My participation in Mu Alpha Theta conventions at Mississippi College certified me to tutor high school students for the Subject Area Testing Program (SATP) examinations in Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus, as well as the ACT Math section. I achieved the 99th percentile in English, 97th percentile in Math, and 99th percentile in Reading on the ACT and ACT COMPASS examinations, which further qualified me to tutor for the Stanford Achievement Tests (SAT-10), ACT, and other exams.
