"Hi! My name is Corben.
I’m a Physics student at the University of Washington with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. I earned a 4.0 GPA during my Associate’s in Science at Cascadia College and currently maintain a 3.9 GPA in my undergrad Physics (BS) coursework. I also work as a peer facilitator and tutor at my university, where I’m constantly refining how I explain complex ideas in approachable ways.
Beyond credentials, I’m a student too, and that matters. I understand firsthand where traditional instruction often falls short. Real learning isn’t about drilling formulas or memorizing steps. It’s about building intuition. I think of learning math or physics like learning a language: you ask questions, make connections, and gradually the structure reveals itself.
I’ve worked with students across a wide range of levels, and I always begin by meeting them where they’re most comfortable. Everyone learns differently and does so at different speeds. For that reason my approach is grounded in genuine understanding—not pressure.
At my core, I believe that any student who wants to learn *can* learn. With curiosity, engagement, and a growth mindset, meaningful improvement is always possible. My goal is for every session to leave you more confident and capable than when you started.
I offer both online and in-person sessions, depending on what works best for you. If you’re ready to learn in a supportive, thoughtful environment, I’d be happy to work with you." less...
