"I have an EdD from Texas A&M Commerce and a Masters from Austin College. It was my desire to teach school as a very young age, and I have enjoyed every year of assisting students achieve success and excellent scores on End-of-Course tests in U.S. History, the College Board AP tests for World, U.S., and European History, and improve their school tests, essays, and exams. I have over 25 years of teaching experience and it includes many different venues - from small country schools to a highly academically-competitive urban high school. Although I originally began as an English teacher, the past 20 years have been spent focused on all three AP History subjects. What occupation could be more fun than telling true stories and letting students explore how and why those things happened? And what could be more important than discovering why the world became what it is today and how it got there? I find it just fascinating! I have over 10 years of experience teaching all levels of English, from 7th grade up through Senior English, although not at the Advanced Placement level.

I am well trained by the College Board in all three History fields, although my specialty is AP World History. I have been a College Board Table Leader for the AP World History essay exam for over seven years and a Reader for eight years prior to being promoted to the Table Leader position. Although I am not a Reader for either AP U.S. History or AP European History, my students have achieved excellent scores on those two exams as over the past ten years as well.
