"My name is Jason, and I am on track to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary next May. I am currently a senior majoring in International Relations and History, with plans to pursue a Ph.D. in history and a future career as a historian. I hold a 4.0 GPA in my history major (3.85 cumulative) and earned a score of 5 on the AP European History Exam in 2021.

I have three months of experience tutoring middle and high school students in China, where I worked as an English language tutor. Additionally, I have been actively involved in education-related activities through school clubs. For instance, I train students at William and Mary to compete in Model United Nations conferences. My teaching experience spans both classroom and one-on-one settings.

As a history enthusiast, I believe that sparking students’ interest is the key to improving their academic performance. In my curriculum, I plan to implement an "interactive model" to engage students in reflecting on the readings and materials. For example, when introducing the French Revolution, I would assign students to represent the three "estates" and have them negotiate and compromise on their interests. This approach allows students to not only read about history but to experience it, making their learning more dynamic and enjoyable.

European history is my intended concentration in graduate school, and I am well-prepared to cover all the material from the AP European History exam.
