I am currently a neuroscience PhD Student at UCLA and I graduated with a BS in neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While I've always been passionate about biology and the brain, I have gained an immense passion for using code to understand data throughout my research career. The world (including our understanding of the brain) relies upon making sense of data that we can collect, manipulate, and visualize. While there are vast online resources for coding and data science, these can be difficult to wade through and build real, practical understanding from. In my experience, working alongside an expert like myself is the best way to build coding and data science skills. Teaching myself to code and work with large datasets has given me tremendous insight into great ways to help you build fundamental understanding and practical skills in the data science world.
