"Hello friends! My name is Tonya, and I am a seasoned English teacher and educationalist with more than 12 years of experience. For the past five years, I have been conducting online English classes, and my classrooms include children and adults of all ages. Moreover, I also teach ELA to primary and secondary students. Throughout my career, I have taught English to native and non-native students, including immigrants and refugees who come to the United States for a better life.

I began my academic journey at the American Military University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Later, I enrolled in the Teacher Ready Program at the University of West Florida, where I obtained my teaching certification and formally became an educator. My specializations include English teaching, English as a Second Language (ESL), Reading Comprehension, Essay Writing, and Phonics.

Following my certification, I started working as a teacher, summer school teacher, and substitute teacher in various public and private schools. Some of those schools were Title 1 schools, which support students from low-income families and students with special needs. I have also worked as a reading resource teacher with students in IEPs and those with learning disabilities. I also take pride in my work as a personal tutor in an outreach program, including children from less privileged families.

For me, tutoring is a precious instrument that helps students climb the ladder of success, helping them move forward more confidently. Every child has the potential to perform wonderfully; all they need is a teacher to guide them in the right direction.
