"During my undergraduate studies I tutored college level students for three years in a variety of subjects. The subject I helped most students with was math. I'm comfortable working one-on-one with students and working in larger groups ranging from 2-10 people. Additionally, I have experience with drop-in tutoring where any student can stop by during an open session and ask me any questions in the math subject they are studying. One example of the drop in tutoring was I juggled between 20 students coming and going into the session whose subjects ranged from beginning calculus to advanced calculus and had to find a quick way to explain concepts to each student.

The best thing about tutoring is watching a student get over a large road block and succeeding. On a personal level, I find it enjoyable when I relearn concepts and get a more robust level of understanding of the math. I enjoy meeting different types of students and finding new ways to explain a concept. I've tutored many math classes with students of all backgrounds: students with ADHD, international students, and students from all over the United states, and I cannot wait to meet more students and help with their educational goals." less...
