"Hi, I am Zulfar! I graduated with my Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and my Bachelors' degrees in Physics and Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. I am currently enrolled at the University of Chicago for a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience. As an honor student, I have realized that dedication and persistence to learning are essential to master any subject.

For over 9 years now, I have helped students reach their potential in Math, Science, and English using my approach. I have been a tutor and teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon, University of California- San Diego, community schools, and privately. I have tutored students at all levels consistently to reach their potential. I love teaching and have a goal of becoming a research professor as a career.

My favorite part about tutoring is seeing the "aha" moments students express when the explanation or problem finally makes sense to them. I am an avid believer that learning comes with practice. I make sure my students know that their struggles are to be expected when learning a new subject and that with practice they can master it. As a tutor, I like to provide a study plan catered specifically to each student in order to help them reach their 'Aha' moments.

My approach to teaching has led my students to use my methods in their other courses as well and improving their scores and learning approaches to master anything they set their mind to.

I am very flexible with time and location. While I do have a cancellation policy, I offer makeup classes. I do offer online lessons as well.
