"Dear Students,
I am privileged to assist you all. I have excelled in math throughout my life. I am well versed in arithmetic ranging from basic math all the way up to calculus. I scored a 4/5 on the Ap Calculus Exam, I was inducted into Mu Alpha Theta math honor society, and I won 3rd place in the Birmingham city schools calculus tournament in 2009. I earned an A in all of my college calculus courses at The University of Alabama , and I have worked and volunteered as a calculus tutor for The University of Alabama and Impact Alabama. In addition, I graduated from the University of Alabama with an electrical engineering degree, which involved high level math courses beyond calculus three. In addition, I have a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Alabama. After my schooling, I taught algebra and pre calculus at Jefferson State Community College for two semesters. Then, I moved on to a software engineering job. In addition, I have worked with renown companies such as Outlier, Snorkel, Alignerr, and Telus Digital as a Math AI Trainer creating, critiquing, and ranking challenging math prompts and problems for the purpose of improving the capabilities of math based AI models.
I usually allow the students I tutor to show me math problems from their textbooks or internet homework and guide them through the process of solving the problems. I also explain the foundation and theory behind the math concepts that we cover. Afterwards I either make problems myself or choose other problems from their materials for them to practice themselves so that I can assess what they have learned. I am confident that I can increase the understanding of the students that I am obliged to help, and I promise to do my best to help my students learn and succeed.
Sincerely,
